Our Services

BCBA Direct
Child-Led Therapy

Our sessions are centered on following a child’s lead and their natural motivation. This is in contrast to traditional models that rely on adult-directed activities with contrived reinforcement. A master’s-level clinician implements all therapeutic services.

Caregiver Coaching & Support

Family is at the heart of all of our services. We focus on goals that are most important to a family’s daily life and values. Our caregiver coaching empowers parents with a deeper understanding on the why behind their child’s behavior and provides practical strategies to meet their needs.

Caregiver & Toddler Playgroups

We offer caregiver coaching and toddler playgroups with the priority to build connection and community. We accomplish this through Project ImPACT, a caregiver-mediated naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention (NDBI) that focuses on building social communication.

All services are embedded with Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBIs) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Founder & Clinical Director

Hi, I’m Jess! I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a deep passion for neurodiverse-affirming care for autistic children and their families. I founded Rooted Behavior to bring this holistic, compassionate approach to my community in Delaware.

I started in the autism field in 2014 as a direct support professional supporting autistic adults in group homes while I was an undergraduate student at the University of Delaware majoring in Human Services and minoring in Disabilities Studies. I have since supported learners from ages 18 months to 70 years old, and I always consider a person’s lifespan in all of my work. I came to the ABA field in 2018 and soon after enrolled in Drexel University’s Master’s of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis program with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and graduated in 2021.

I specialize in child-led ABA therapy and supporting caregivers with goals that are most impactful to their family system. In a session with me, expect lots of playfulness, curiosity, and joy. My goal is for every child to feel seen and accepted for exactly who they are (and their caregivers too).

I can’t wait to meet you and your little one!
